Superhero birthday

My youngest, Edward, will turn 5 on Monday (not sure where that time went). Like most boys his age, Edward's life revolves around superheroes in one way or another, Superman onesie for bed, Spiderman t-shirt at the weekend, action figures on the bedroom floor, iron man on the TV etc etc. There's no big birthday parties for us, this year as his birthday is on a school day, we are inviting a couple of his classmates around for tea after school on Monday.
Because of the whole superhero thing I decided that I'd make superhero masks for the guests. So what I should have been doing this week is making more of these...

But what I've mostly been doing is feeling pretty rubbish and hiding under my duvet watching a stream of cheesy movies on Love Film. I've had some fluey (is that even a word?) type thing which has left me feeling grotty. I'm hoping that I get myself together over the weekend so that I can finish off the masks.
They proved a hit with Edward when I made them for him and his friend at Christmas (nicely modelled by Ed here). I've since adapted the pattern as it was a little big on him as you can see.
I'd love to hear what you think of the masks.

First ever blog post.....

This is my very first post on my very first blog. If you've made it this far - thanks for reading! I'm hoping this space will develop into a place where I can share with you all of the things that inspire or excite me. For today, as I still don't really know what I'm doing, here is a fab bit of graffiti I saw recently whilst walking on Shipley Glen.
